TN Govt files another defamation complaint against Karunanidhi

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Government today filed a defamation suit in a court here against DMK President M Karunanidhi for allegedly making “libelous” remarks against Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. [caption id=“attachment_438923” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] DMK President[/caption] The suit, filed by the City Public Prosecutor in the Principal Sessions Court, also sought action against DMK’s moutpiece “Murasoli” for reporting Karunandhi’s comments. The CPP said in the report which appeared in the August 8 edition of ‘Murasoli’ Karunanidhi had made some “sarcastic” and “libelous” comments about Jayalalithaa and contended they were defamatory. PTI
