A session which was supposed to be a motion of thanks for the President turned into a one of rebuttals following Rahul Gandhi’s infamous speech on 2 March. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary speech on 3 March invoked the entire Nehru-Gandhi clan, where he quoted former prime minsters Rajiv Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. As Modi unleashed another one of his silver-tongued specials, Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi were seen shifting uncomfortably in their seats.
