The two others are Ram Singh Bidhuri, a former Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) legislator, and VK Monga. Mehndi, who burst into the Indi Pop scene in the mid nineties and ruled the music scene with his brand of bhangra pop for close to ten years, had fallen short on popularity in the past few years. In 2003, Mehndi and his brothers were implicated in an illegal immigration racket in United Kingdom. Mehndi had denied all charges.   With inputs from IANS
