Sena has asked the Mumbai Cricket Association to take a decision on the pending proposal to name the press box at the Wankhede Stadium after Bal Thackeray.

The Shiv Sena has reportedly shot off a letter to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to take a decision on the pending proposal to name the press box at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai after their party’s founder Bal Thackeray. The letter, written by Sena activist Milind Narvekar, who is also party chief  Uddhav Thackeray’s personal secretary has written pointing out that the decision on naming the press box has still not been taken. AFP[/caption] “The proposal to name the press box gallery after Bal Thackeray has been pending before MCA. They had promised to consider the proposal, which has been kept in abeyance,” Narvekar wrote in his letter according to an Indian Express report.   The Sena is pushing for a decision on the matter by 14 May when the association is expected to meet. The MCA’s managing committee is expected to take the final call on the matter, Narvekar has asked the MCA to communicate their decision at the earliest, Hindustan Times reports.
