 "Sharad Pawar to launch NCP poll campaign on 6 September")
Mumbai: NCP chief Sharad Pawar will launch his party’s campaign for the Maharashtra assembly elections at a public meeting here on 6 September. The event, to be held at the YB Chavan Centre in south Mumbai, will include publication of a booklet highlighting the work done by NCP, party spokesperson Nawab Malik said. [caption id=“attachment_1697767” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Sharad Pawar. AFP[/caption] Congress, NCP’s partner in the ruling coalition, launched its campaign on September 1 here. To a question on seat-sharing talks, Malik said there had been no response from Congress yet on NCP’s proposal, made at a meeting of top leaders of the two parties in Delhi late last month. Talking about BJP president Amit Shah’s visit here, Malik said of late the BJP had been undermining its alliance partner Shiv Sena. PTI
