Kolkata: A BJP delegation today met West Bengal Governor MK Narayanan and demanded a CBI probe the Saradha scam. “We have requested the Governor to look into the matter of CBI inquiry into the Saradha chit fund scam. Only an agency like CBI can investigate a scam of such magnitude,” BJP President Rahul Sinha said after meeting Narayanan. PTI[/caption] The party also criticised the state government for disapproving the arrest of the Malda district magistrate G Kiran Kumar and removing the Siliguri police commissioner K Jayaraman. “The DM who has been accused of corruption has been released and the police officer who worked honestly was removed. This is a shame. The government is trying to shield the corrupt,” Sinha claimed. PTI
