Granting the bail, the judge said Jayarajan should not enter Kannur district for the next two months and should not attempt to influence witnesses and must present himself before the investigation officer whenever summoned.

The bail would be cancelled if any complaint was made against Jayarajan, the court said. Meanwhile, CBI officials said they would decide whether to go for an appeal against the bail order after receiving the copy of the verdict.

Jayarajan is the 25th accused in the case related to the killing of 42-year old RSS district functionary Manoj on September 1, 2014 in politically volatile Kathiroor in Kannur district allegedly by a group of CPM workers.

Charges were framed against him under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Jayarajan was in judicial remand after his bail plea was rejected by the Kerala High Court on 12 February following his surrender in the district session court here.
