Rail bribe case: Singla aide surrenders to Delhi court

In further trouble for Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Ajay Garg, a close aide of the minister’s nephew Vijay Singla has surrendered to a Delhi court. PTI[/caption] CBI investigators had launched a manhunt to nab Garg after questioning Vijay Singla in the bribery case. Garg owns a multi-crore company which supplies electrical goods to the railways. Early this morning, CBI officials searched the residence of the railway minister but stopped short of questioning him. Last week, CBI sleuths arrested Railway Board member Mahesh Kumar and Singla, the nephew of Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal for an alleged case of bribery. The Railway Minister has been under fire, since the arrest of his nephew, with the BJP adding his name to the list of ministers they want gone. However, with the Congress backing him so far, unless the CBI not only proves the money trail extends to the minister and arrests him, it is unlikely Bansal will depart from his post.
