A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi campaigned in poll-bound Himachal Pradesh, with rallies at Una, Palampur and Kullu, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is all set to visit the hill state. Rahul will be holding three rallies on Monday, starting from Paonta Sahib at 11.30 am. He will then address a rally at Chaugan Ground in Chamba at 2 pm before ending the day with a rally in Nagrota at 3.30 pm.
Himachal Pradesh, which is one of the three states under the Congress leadership, is going to polls on 9 November. The unicameral state Assembly consists of 68 seats. Rahul has been
actively campaigning

Twitter @ANI[/caption] Rahul’s visit comes a day after Modi attacked the Congress at his Una rally, claiming that the party was “running away” from Himachal Pradesh’s electoral battle, which he described as a contest being fought by the people of the state. “I am sad as I am
not enjoying the election
this time, as the Congress party has left the ground and run away. These elections have become one-sided,” Modi said. In turn, Rahul hit back at the Modi government to stop delivering “hollow” speeches and quit if it was unable to stop prices from rising and give jobs to the people.
It is to be noted that the electoral battle in Himachal Pradesh has generally been between the Congress and the BJP. While incumbent Virbhadra Singh is Congress’ chief ministerial candidate , BJP has gone with with two-time chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal. With inputs from PTI
