Punjab 2012 Results: Amarinder Singh retains Patiala

List of winners from the Punjab State Assembly elections. Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh retains Patiala constituency by defeating ruling SAD’s Surjit Singh Kohli by a margin of 42,318 votes. BJP candidate Navjot Kaur, wife of Amritsar MP Navjot Singh Sidhu, wins Amritsar (East) constituency by defeating an independent candidate by a margin of 7099 votes. Congress candidate Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu wins Talwandi Sabo seat by defeating his nearest rival Amarjeet Singh Sidhu of SAD by a margin of 8524 votes. From Amritsar Central, O P Soni of Congress defeated his nearest rival Tarun Chugh of BJP by a margin of 12,797 votes. From Rajpura, Hardial Singh of Congress beats BJP’s Raj Khurana by a margin of 31,510 votes SAD’s Deep Malhotra defeats Avtar Singh Brar of Congress by a margin of 2727 votes in Faridkot. In Ghanaur, Harpreet Kaur of SAD defeated Madan Lal Jalalpur of Congress by a margin of 1778 votes. Sadhu Singh of Congress won from Nabha (SC) constituency defeating his nearest SAD rival by a margin of 22,548 votes. PTI
