PM Modi's 56 inch-chest will be reduced to 5.6 inches: Rahul Gandhi's dhamakedaar lines from Rajasthan

As a part of his two-day visit to Rajasthan, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi addressed a gathering of party workers in Jaipur on Friday. He spoke of his love for Lagaan, then moved on to tell the workers how he understood the practical use of pagdis (turbans) for the first time, investigated where the BJP’s ‘remote-control’ is hidden and finally ended with a warning for none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

His speech on Friday was right out of  a potboiler and has everyone in splits. If not a politician, we’re sure he would make it big as a Bollywood dialogue-writer.

Dont believe us? Read on to find out the five things Rahul Gandhi said while addressing workers on Friday which brought out his filmy side-

1. “Land Acquisition Bill will not be passed in the Parliament. We will not let BJP acquire even an inch of land.  Modi ji’s 56 inch chest will become 5.6 inch. You’ll wait and watch.”

Twitter users, as usual, were the first ones to seize the opportunity to crack a few jokes.

2. “I liked the film Lagaan, in that the farmers were disunited, then they got together & protested against tax”

Rahul Gandhi’s first words while addressing his party workers- I love Lagaan. If this doesn’t prove how well suited he his for Bollywood, what will? However, Twitter users weren’t impressed.

3. “One British officer in the movie realized that he couldn’t help the farmers because his remote control was in London. Today as well, this Govt’s remote control is in London. He presses button there and the reaction is seen here”

Continuing to talk about the love he has for Lagaan, Rahul also compared the British officer in the film who realised that he couldn’t help the farmers as someone else was controlling his actions from London to the BJP government whose ‘remote-control’ was in London in the form of Lalit Modi. His choice of words left us speechless.

4. “Yesterday for the first time I understood practical side to wearing a pagdi, when I was preparing to walk in heat for 10 kms”

With this, Rahul baba just revealed too much. According to him, he understood the purpose and use of the pagdi for the first time on Thursday during his padyatra, despite existing for 45 years. That makes us wonder what are the other things he has no idea about…

5. “Kisan kii do maa hoti hai, ek jo usko janam deti hai, ek uski zameen”

Twitter, obviously wouldn’t let this pass either.
