Parties talk of development only when out of power, says BJP in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: Attacking major parties in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP on Friday said Congress NC and PDP talk about development only when they are either out of power or about to lose it, but do nothing while they govern the state. “People of Jammu and Kashmir have seen all combinations beginning with NC and Congress which is presently ruling them. Earlier, they were also ruled by the combination of PDP and Congress. Nobody has focused on development of the state. They talk about it only when they are out of power,” BJP media war-room incharge and spokesperson Arun Kumar Gupta said in a statement. AFP[/caption] “NC, Congress and PDP have always spread canards about BJP. Throughout the election campaign, these parties did nothing but spread bad words about BJP which is pitiable. These parties should have focused on their own achievements, if they had any,” he said. “This proved that these parties had no achievements of their own to show to the voters. Why don’t these parties do something when they are in power? Why do they only talk of developing an area only when they are about to lose power or are out of power? Why dont they focus on development when they are in power?”, he said. “Only parties like BJP can change the face of J&K for the better because BJP is development-oriented. BJP is committed to development and does not shy away from taking bold decisions for the sake of development,” he claimed. “Other parties have always made promises which they cannot deliver and this amounts to misleading the people,” he said. “BJP is a party which has not ruled J&K so far and people should vote for it overwhelmingly in the last phase so that it forms a majority government to start a new era of development,” he said.
