320 corrupt officers given premature retirement in past five years, government tells Lok Sabha
As many as 320 corrupt officers have been given premature retirement by the government in the past five years, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh told the Lok Sabha in a written reply.
As on 30 January, 2020, based on the information uploaded by various ministries, departments and cadre controlling authorities on the probity portal operated by Department of Personnel and Training, provisions of FR 56(J)/similar rules have been invoked against 163 Group A officers, (including all India services officers) and 157 Group B officers during the period July, 2014 to December, 2019, he said.

TMC’s sudip Bandhopadhyay mirrored the concern, asking the Speaker that the House be informed about Abdullah whereabouts and well-being.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of setting up of a trust for Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the body will be “completely free to take every decision related to the temple and 67 acres of land will be transferred to the trust”.

Centre asks UP govt to grant 5 acre plot for construction of a mosque in Ayodhya
Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed the Lower House that the Cabinet has urged the UP government to allocate 5 acre plot in Ayodhya for the construction of a mosque, and the state government has approved the request, This was a condition laid down by the Supreme Court while settling a decades-old land title dispute between Hindus and Muslims, both of whom claim the tract of land once occupied by Babri Mosque, in its entirety.
The SC granted the disputed site to Hindus, while asked the government to allocate a separate plot of 5 acres for construction of a mosque, as the act of desecration of Babri mosque was illegal.

Prime Minister says Cabinet drafted plan to construct Ram Temple
The government has decided 67.703 acres of land to this trust, Modi said, adding that the Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to give five acres of land to the Sunni Wakf Board as directed by the Supreme Court in Ayodhya matter.
“We have readied a scheme for the development of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. A trust has been formed, it is called ‘Sri Ram Janambhoomi Tirath Kshetra,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.

An unprecedented 431 amendments, running over 44 pages, were moved in Rajya Sabha to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address by 12 MPs, including those from the Congress, Trinamool Congress (TMC), Samajwadi Party, DMK, CPI and the CPM.
However, these amendments do not make any material difference to the government’s functioning.
