Opposition parties will release a fake sting operation against AAP: Arvind Kejriwal

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday alleged that opposition parties in New Delhi were going to release a fake sting operation against his party in the next few days and urged people of Delhi not to believe the allegations. AP AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said opposition parties were going to release a sting operation against his party. AP[/caption] “We’ve got information that opposition parties are going to make some baseless allegations against AAP in the next few days,” Kejriwal told reporters in New Delhi. “I appeal to the people of Delhi not to believe these allegations against AAP.” Kejriwal also said that a senior leader from one of the opposition parties who was allegedly known for making allegations and carrying out such operations against was the one who was going to make these allegations. “We will not compromise on the three Cs: Character, crime and corruption,” Kejriwal said, adding that if anyone wanted to make allegations against an AAP leaders, they needed to provide proof for the same. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao reacted to these statements made by Kejriwal and told Times Now, “This puzzles me. He is the one who advised whole of Delhi to carry out sting operations. Yet he fears something and getting nervous and jittery about it even before any such sting is released.” Rao also said he did not know about any such sting operation being carried out by the BJP. “I don’t know about any sting operation,” he said. On Kejriwal alleging that a senior BJP leader was going to release the sting operation, Rao said, “These are the kind of tactics and lies he wants to spread… The whole focus of AAP seems to be to target Kiran Bedi. This is going to recoil on them.” “Kejriwal is engaging in rumour-mongering,” said Rao, adding that the AAP chief was making “cheap allegations”. Another BJP leader Sambit Patra also told ANI, “AAP and Arvindji taught ‘sting sting game’ to people… they had said that if something wrong is going on, it needs to be captured by camera.” AAP leader Ashish Khaitan also told Times Now that the party did not need to provide any proof of a sting operation by a BJP leader against the party. “There is no need to put every proof in public domain. Media is smart enough to know that there are sectarian BJP leaders who are masters in planting sting operations.” Khaitan also asked why the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had also been given charge of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry also.
