Given that election season is here, the fact that Twitter has turned into a daily battleground is not new. From AAP supporters to ModiBhakts to Rahul baba’s defenders, the Twitter universe is sharply divided.
On 1 April, the biggest trend was #KejriDiwas. It’s pretty obvious that on April Fools Day, Modi’s team had won Twitter by getting the KejriDiwas tag to trend.
AAP’s social media head Ankit Lal tried to use the tag to show that this was just BJP’s fear, tweeting, “BJP Tweeple trending #KejriDiwas shows who their biggest fear is!”
Fear or not some of the jokes were quite funny. For instance the tweet about “Kejriwal’s 4th standard class teacher recalls he sat on an dharna because I didn’t make him the class monitor,” was a good one.
Of course when there’s a KejriDiwas, can Pappu jokes be far behind? Someone also mocked the fact that ‘Pappu’ had been working towards his own day for a long time, but was upstaged by Kejriwal.
