Jabalpur: The Election Commission of India has sought explanation from former Madhya Pradesh minister and BJP leader Anchal Sonkar for allegedly tossing currency notes in the air—and violating the Model of Code of Conduct—at a programme in Jabalpur.[caption id=“attachment_1187347” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Tussle with Election Commission of India. Video footage shot by local TV channels showed Sonkar and his supporters purportedly tossing notes and dancing at an Eid Milan programme in Raddi Chowki area on 17 October. Jabalpur collector and district electoral officer Vivek Porwal issued a notice to Sonkar on Sunday, directing him to file his reply on the issue within 48 hours, official sources said. PTI
