Kolkata: A Bangladeshi national was arrested on Wednesday by sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Petrapole in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district.
Mohammed Batyullah (42) was arrested from the border area in the evening, sources said, adding, he was carrying a laptop which had pictures of Osama Bin Laden stored in it.
He had no valid documents and was remanded to police custody for 14 days by a local court.
The NIA, which is investigating the 2 October Burdwan blast has unearthed a JMB module operating in Bengal and has so far made several seizures and arrests in connection with it.
