Never called Modi bhakts bastards: Omar Abdullah hits out at Mumbai Mirror for misquoting him

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took to Twitter to express his anger after a Mumbai Mirror article misquoted him as saying ‘Those who attend Modi’s rallies are bastards.’

According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror , the J&K CM reportedly said that those who attend Modi’s rally and vote for him are ‘bastards’ while reacting to questions on Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti’s controversial comments targeting non-Hindus. BJP has a central minister who calls all non-believers of Lord Ram as bastards. This is the BJP that tells people of Kashmir to follow them. This is the BJP that people needs to be warned about. There is only one force that can stop BJP’s divisive agenda, and that is the National Conference.” But, the chief minister denied saying this and said that the publication distorted his comments.

““The BJP wears a mask when it comes to Kashmir, but occasionally that mask slips. The remarks by a union minister have revealed the true face of the party. She says that all non-believers of Lord Ram are bastards. Kashmiris will not vote for such a party. We are spreading the message that only the NC can stem the divisive forces of the BJP in the state,” is what Abdullah told ANI . Omar further said he was not worried about the comments made by the Union Minister but it is important that people understand what BJP is all about.
