Jammu: Opposition National Conference (NC) on Monday accused the BJP of “creating division” in the society “with an eye on the 2017 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh”. Instead of solving their problems, the party is indulging in petty politics of dividing various segments of the society, not only to conceal its own failures, but with an eye on the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh elections,” said NC provincial president Devender Singh Rana. He cautioned the saffron party against “converting the state into a hate theatre” saying the “misadventure” could have serious political and strategic ramifications. Urging women to take the lead in the fight against BJP’s “exploitative” politics and its “betrayal” to the people of Jammu, the NC leader said housewives have been hit the most by the failure of the PDP-BJP coalition government in the state in containing price rise and ensuring essential utility services such as electricity, water and ration. “Hollow promises and zero performance has been the hallmark of the PDP-BJP combine,” he said
Opposition NC accused BJP of ‘creating divisions’ and betraying the people of Jammu in order to conceal the party’s failures.
