Malayalam actor Mohanlal, has landed himself in trouble over sporting an army uniform and and medals for commercial purposes. The actor who was made an honorary member of the territorial army two years back is under the army’s scanner after it received a complaint from an army officer who came across the campaign by Mohanlal for the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival (GKSP) 2010. Mohanlal appeared in a series of print and television ads between December 2010 and January 2011 promoting the GKSP 2010 in an army uniform adorned with medals, playing a 1971 war veteran. Officers at the army headquarters after receiving complaints against the actor have taken a serious note of the incident and may issue an advisory asking him to adhere to the protocols.
