Former Delhi Metro chief E Sreedharan unwittingly found himself drafted into the upper echelon of the BJP when a Delhi leader decided to plaster a poster across the city which featured him with Modi and other senior leaders.
The Economic Times reported
that Delhi leader Mahesh Giri had put up posters in the city which featured him and the party’s prime ministerial candidate prominently. But in the images of other senior leaders on the poster, Sreedharan’s image was also visible. [caption id=“attachment_1385355” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
Sreedharan’s not part of any party just yet. Reuters image[/caption] Sreedharan denied that he was part of any political party while Giri has said that it was a ‘honest mistake’ and they actually intended to use an image of BJP leader OP Kohli. The BJP leader also denied it was an attempt to appropriate the civil servant who has been credited with pushing through the Delhi Metro. The party may not mind his presence given his popularity in Delhi, but unfortunately Sreedharan’s not up for it.
