Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday criticised Mehbooba Mufti government for recommending postponement of by-poll over law and order issue in the Anantnag assembly seat, saying it only showed how much “petrified” she was of facing people. Located in South Kashmir, Anantnag seat fell vacant after the death of the then state chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed on 7 January. The EC had announced by-poll to this seat along with eight other assembly seats on 16 May. The poll panel on Thursday said that fresh date will be announced later. PTI
