Kejriwal to gherao Sonia's house, demand Khurshid's resignation

India Against Corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal will gherao the residence of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Friday. Kejriwal made the announcement after meeting a group of disabled people who briefed him about irregularities in schemes meant for people with handicaps. A television report had brought the fact to light a few days back.

According to a sting operation aired on a TV news channel, an NGO run by Louis Khurshid, wife of union law minister Salman Khurshid, was involved in siphoning off government grants meant for the disabled by using forged signatures. Kejriwal has also demanded resignation of Khurshid.

"Money laundering by the NGO floated by the  law minister's wife is a matter of shame. It is unfortunate to have such a law minister in the country. We demand resignation of the law minister and immediate arrest of his wife. We will gherao Sonia Gandhi's residence asking for Salman Khurshid's resignation," said Kejriwal.
