Karnataka results prove BJP is nothing without me, says Yeddy

Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa has said that the state election results prove that the BJP is nothing without him. I already have half the electoral votes of the BJP”, said Yeddyurappa. The former Chief Minister added that the Congress party had him to thank for their massive win in the state. Yeddyurappa’s KJP won 6 seats in the elections, and the BJP in the state has also said that his exit from the party was a massive blow to its prospects in the state. BJP leader Lehar Singh Siroya told CNN-IBN on Wednesday that the BJP cadre on the ground was ‘desperate’ for the return of former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa. Siroya who was treasurer when Yeddyurappa was Chief Minister said that he would like the former Chief Minister to be brought back to the party with dignity. “Yeddyurappa was not only a Lingayat leader, he also led the party in Karnataka. Ever since he left, the BJP were performing badly”, he said, adding that senior party leaders ‘who were close to God’ were to blame for his exit and the BJP’s subsequent defeat.
