The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Mission 44 in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) has failed, and while it is leading in 24 seats in the state, it hasn’t quite managed to make a as big a dent in the political scenario like the party had promised. Representational Image. AFP[/caption] And while it’s clear that BJP hasn’t done too poorly in the state, the failure of its much touted Mission 44 has caused a rush of comments on Twitter. Congress leaders like Ajay Maken tweeted saying that the BJP mission had failed, and a hashtag #Mission44LOL also began to be shared on the social media site. Others pointed out that Congress was just rejoicing at BJP’s loss, and not looking at their own performance. Check out the following tweets criticising the BJP:
Given that this is one of the best performances by the BJP in the state, it is a little harsh to say that the party has done poorly. However, in battleground Twitter, no hashtag is an unfair one it seems.
