AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa will take oath as Tamil Nadu chief minister on May 23, days after being acquitted in a disproportionate assets case by the Karnataka High Court, a report in The Hindu said. Party sources were quoted as saying that Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will tender his resignation soon and party chief Jayalalithaa would be sworn in as chief minister the following day.
