Nitish Kumar is a no-show and Rahul Gandhi puts up a fight. Well, that is the verdict of respondents to a survey that overwhelmingly preferred Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the future prime minister of India. Fifty-six percent of the respondents in the _India Today-_ORG opinion poll conducted in Gujarat wanted Modi as future prime minister while 35 percent voted for Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and a mere two percent preferred Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. PTI[/caption] This is surprising as Kumar is often seen as the biggest threat to Modi’s prime ministerial ambitions. The Bihar chief minister was also considered as Modi’s enemy by 14 percent of the respondents. The others in the list of foes include the Congress while 18 percent of the respondents think it is the BJP itself, the survey revealed. Other senior BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and party president Nitin Gadkari got a mere three percent each making Modi the indisputable numero uno.
