He is expected to take oath there 25 March, official sources said. Konwar, who had become Governor of Bihar in June 2009, was in the eye of a storm recently over appointment of nine VCs and two pro-VCs without consulting with the state government. The Supreme Court has stayed the appointments. Patil, who swapped places with Konwar as per the presidential order, was received by Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and a host of ministers and legislators at the airport this evening. On his arrival, Patil while talking to reporters extended greetings to people of the state. He later garlanded the statue of Rajendra Prasad outside the Raj Bhavan. PTI
