The Mumbai Film Festival in association with Equinox Europe is conducting a two-day scriptwriting workshop on 14-15 October 2013.

If you think you’ve got a story that could be a good film but don’t know what to do with it, head to the two-day script writing workshop being organised The Mumbai Film Festival in association with Equinox Europe. On 14th and 15th October, 2013, script advisor Claire Dobbin and producer-screenwriter James Hart will talk about the different challenges of writing a film script and how to tackle them. Day one: Workshopping with script advisor Claire Dobbin, who has been associated with several Australian films like  Road to Nhill, Small Treasures and Mallboy. Dobbin will listen to participants pitch their ideas and discuss the art of screen writing and script development. She will discuss themes, concept lines, structure and characters. There will also be a 45-minute long Q & A session. A screengrab of the site.[/caption] Day two: Producer and screenwriter James Hart, who has been associated with films like Hook, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Muppet Treasure Island, Jack and the Beanstalk: The Real Story, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life among others, will focus on how a story transitions into film. Hart will screen Bram Stoker’s Dracula and this will be followed by a dissection of the film. After this, participants will be asked to re-evaluate the ideas they had pitched at the beginning of the workshop. The workshop is open to all film enthusiasts.
