Kolkata: Former Meghalaya governor Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary joined Trinamool Congress on Sunday, the party said. [caption id=“attachment_1426763” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Reuters[/caption] Mooshahary, a retired Indian Police Service officer who headed the Border Security Force and the National Security Guard, joined the Trinamool in Assam during the day, Trinamool national general secretary Mukul Roy told reporters in Kolkata. In Jharkhand, seven-time legislator and former MP Chandrasekhar Dubey also switched over to the Trinamool. Dubey last year served as the rural development minister of Jharkhand in the Hemant Soren government. Odisha Congress leader Arya Kumar Gyanendra has pitched his lot with the party along with his supporters, said Roy. Roy also said the Trinamool was planning to contest from some seats in Uttar Pradesh. IANS
