Lucknow: In a turn of events, the family members of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Dayashankar Singh filed an FIR against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati for the foul language used by the BSP members against the women members of Dayashankar’s family, according to a report by CNN News 18. The FIR has been filed in the Hazratganj police station, Lucknow, under section I20B, 540, 509, 506 and 153A of Indian Penal code. Mayawati has been accused of criminal conspiracy, intimidation and promoting enmity, according to a report by CNN News 18. Singh’s family lodged the FIR against Mayawati, and were earlier quoted saying that this is a question about the integrity of women. “My daughter, who is a minor, is in a state of shock after the incident. I will definitely lodge an FIR against Mayawati and other party leaders and fight a legal battle,” Singh’s wife Swati told reporters after BSP protests against Dayashankar. “My husband is in politics, but we have no political connection. The manner in which BSP workers acted on Thursday and the language used by them during protest was derogatory,” she said. Swati said that her family was being dragged into the controversy unnecessarily. “Why Mayawati is not taking action against Nassemuddin Siddiqui. Why he was not expelled from the party. I don’t want to imagine what is the state of my 80-year-old mother-in-law,” she said. “While BSP leader Satish Chandra Mishra said that nothing like this happened, but the entire country has witnessed and listened the foul language used by BSP workers during protest on Thursday. It is about the integrity of women,” she said. [caption id=“attachment_2908968” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
