After denial, and then presenting evidence to buttress their claim that a sting operation conducted by media outlet Media Sarkar was fake, the AAP in a new study has claimed that 18 percent of its respondents felt there was any truth to the allegations levelled against them. The Aam Aadmi Party has said that while 51 percent of the 4890 persons it had polled during its last survey ahead of the Delhi polls had heard of the sting operation only 18 percent believed there was any truth to it. Can AAP do well despite the allegations against it?Reuters[/caption] Only 14 percent claimed that they were affected by it and an almost equal number (13 percent) believe that the entire operation was a fabrication. The AAP has been in damage control mode since the tapes of the sting operation were aired on various television news channels. After first seeking the raw footage of the sting operation, the AAP has since filed a complaint with the Election Commission about the report claiming it had been done with the intention to defame them. However, while the AAP has debunked the sting operation its opponents have used it to target them alleging that the issue needed to be probed further.
