Fail 2.0: After Maken, Raman Singh puts up Bhagat Singh's photo for Chandra Shekhar Azad tribute

Looks like some our netas, or at least those who handle their social media accounts, were not very good at history back in school. After Congress’s Ajay Maken happily paid ’tributes' to Chandra Shekhar Azad on his birth anniversary with a photograph of Bhagat Singh, it was the turn of BJP’s Raman Singh to do the same. [caption id=“attachment_2360542” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Screenshot of the mistaken tweet. Screenshot of the mistaken tweet.[/caption] The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh tweeted out an image with poetic praise in Hindi as a tribute to Azad. However, he took it a step further by adding a photograph of himself and and, wait for it, Bhagat Singh. The error was pointed out on social media and Twitterati had a good laugh about it, till it was taken down. However, not before there were enough screenshots of the goof-up. While, Raman Singh apologized for the error, saying that he ‘sincerely apologised for this inadvertent mistake from the bottom of our hearts’ it didn’t help the fact that he had repeated Maken’s epic fail and was trolled for it. Word of advice, what goes on the internet, stays there.

ramansinghfail FYI, there are some netas who got it right. And in case you’re wondering what Azad actually looked like, here’s Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s tribute.
