Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also heads the state unit of BJP, will launch the party membership drive in Mumbai on Wednesday. “The drive will last till 31 March next year and will reach out to different sections of people cutting across caste, creed and religion,” BJP spokesman Madhav Bhandari said. PTI[/caption] He said all office-bearers and workers will be roped in to make the enrollment exercise a success and to reach out to people through personal contact, media and roadshows. “Fadnavis will launch the drive by taking the fresh membership of the party and will also address party workers and office-bearers,” Bhandari said, adding that BJP intends to use the drive to expand its mass base and strengthen the organisation. A workshop for party office-bearers at state and district levels will be organised in Mumbai tomorrow, he added. PTI
