Congress’ Pawan Khera tears up, says country won’t forgive for debating exit polls during COVID crisis
During a debate on a news channel, Congress’s Pawan Khera said, " None of us can afford to smile given today’s situation. Given the situation in the country, I dont feel like giving comments on this subject. Today the country is losing against COVID but we are debating who won and lost on exit polls, the country won’t forgive us. Atleast I wont commit this sin."
When the anchor says he respcects Khera’s snesibilities and says the Congess leader can leave if he wants, Khera says," I want to say this and leave, country wont forgive anyone if today we smile and clap and sicuss who’s winning and who’s losing. Some people are in queues outisde crematorims, we are getting calls for oxygen, beds are not available in hospitals and we are discussing who is winning and who is losing. Is this why we are in politics?," he asks.
He adds that if given a chance, he will speak about COVID.
