Doddamallur, the sleepy village in Mandya district of Karnataka, is on the cusp of history. Sri Sathya Sai Baba has predicated his rebirth here as Prema Sai. While there is uncertainty over the year of arrival of the reincarnation —different sources put it at 2012, 2023 and 2030—there is little dispute over the future role of Doddamallur in perpetuating the spiritual legacy of Sai Baba.
