Fire sales return: AirAsia offers tickets starting Rs 1,099 on select routes for a week

Bengaluru - Low-cost carrier AirAsia said on Sunday it will offer tickets on select domestic and international routes at a discount, starting from Rs 1,099 and applicable on tickets booked online from March 7-13, for travel between October 1, 2016 and May 22, 2017.
"The promotional fares start from Rs 1,099 on domestic destinations such as Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Kochi, Imphal, Goa and Delhi connected by AirAsia India," the airline said in a release.
Under the ffer, fares would start from Rs.2,999 for Kuala Lumpur from Kochi, Chennai or Hyderabad connected by the group airlines AirAsia Berhad.
Tickets would be available at Rs.3,999 to Bangkok from Chennai and Bengaluru connected by Thai AirAsia, the statement said.
"We are pleased to bring back the Big Sale to India. We have introduced many new and undiscovered routes throughout the region," said AirAsia chief commercial officer Siegtraund Teh.
