Why didn't LG ask parties to spell out on Delhi govt formation: AAP

New Delhi: Reacting to the Supreme Court order, the AAP today asked why Lt Governor Najeeb Jung did not ask parties to spell out their stand in writing over government formation in the national capital as absense of such a formality was leading to defection. “Why has the government not asked each of the parties to give a written statement. Let the Lt Governor ask the BJP tomorrow on whether you are in a position to form a government or whether they exploring the possibilities is more important than than giving the government itself. That basically is the name of the game. Its an old game we thought we had put an end to. Its really sickening to see that this game is being played,” said senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav. The Supreme Court today asked the Centre to take a decision on dissolution of Delhi Assembly “one way or another” within five weeks, questioning it for continuing to keep the house in suspended animation when no party is coming forward to form the government.
