Comment: Don't go back to your routine life - force your govt to act

One of our commenters “Aam Aadmi” wrote us a strong, smart comment, asking citizens to participate locally rather than simply moving on, to the article titled – City lives up to its fabled spirit, pitches in with help  – which we have now published as a separate post. By Aam Aadmi While I don’t doubt the citizens of this great city …nor do I only want to blame the Police & related community but CAN"T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!! Why can’t I feel safe in my own country? And I think its we the people… After every such attacks we will feel the outrage, tweet our anger, light some candles, listen to our politicians making useless speeches telling what all they will do! And we still vote for the same politicians!!! Just take a look at the these politicians records, their attitude, their back grounds…. and guess what each and every one of them is a multi millionaire within 3 years of being elected!!! And no one says anything. Also have a look at your Police & the Judges. They are mere puppets in the hands of the politicians. Good for clearing the way when one of these VIPs come and go or for improving the status of the VIPs. After the Mumbai attack when the investigation reveled poor quality of the bullet proof vests I really thought that Now the police will take serious action ..I mean its their life …Guess I was wrong again! I really hope at least this blast will wake us up. Take time out from your busy schedule… keep writing to your local MLA, MP, CM, PM, Police Commissioner, BMC commissioner, Mayor, etc. Write to them about the pot holes on the road to water logging, to uncleared garbage, to police inaction to the unkept election promises. Use the RTI. Use the Media. Once these politicos & their elected lots understand that ‘aam janta’ is now watching every step they will shiver.. Force them to act!! PLEASE DON’T KEEP QUIET AND GO ABOUT YOUR ROUTINE LIFE. WE HAVE TO MAKE OUR NETAS UNDERSTAND THAT WE NO LONGER CAN BE PUSHED DOWN BURDENED WITH HARDSHIPS, INFLATION, POOR CIVIC SERVICES AND THEIR FALSE PROMISES. LETS WAKE UP AND …. STAY AWAKE!
