BJP youth wing workers protest near PM's residence

New Delhi: Hundreds of activists of the BJP’s youth wing gathered near the 7 Race Course Road residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here Sunday, demanding his resignation after two union ministers quit over malfeasance and impropriety. Prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code, banning any gathering of four or more people, have been imposed in a few areas of central Delhi, including 7 Race Course Road, he added. According to a Delhi Metro official, the Race Course Road Metro station has been closed. “The Race Course Metro station has been closed for public from 11 a.m. till further directions on the police advice,” a Metro official said.
