Jammu: The youth wing of BJP today held demonstrations against the reinstatement of Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo in the Omar Abdullah cabinet, and hit out at Congress for keeping silent on the matter. Over 300 BJYM activists led by their Jammu West District President Ajay Vaid raised anti-government slogans during the demonstration and burnt effigies of Congress and picture of Kitchloo in New Plot area in the city.
Slamming Congress, which is a coalition partner in the state government, Vaid said has invited widespread resentment from the people for adopting double standards and compromising on principles on the Kitchloo re-induction issue.
He also accused Congress of “not uttering a single word of sympathy for the Kishtwar riots-affected families” and called it a “puppet” which had “no courage to oppose any act of NC which is morally wrong and against the interests of minorities”.
Claiming that Congress had a history of surrendering to power and pelf, Vaid said their silence on the Kitchloo re-induction was clear proof that it is hand-in-glove with the NC government.
