BJP is a divided house, has no development agenda for Delhi: Dikshit

New Delhi: Setting her eye on an unprecedented fourth consecutive victory in the upcoming Assembly polls, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday launched a blistering attack on the BJP, terming it as a “divided house” which does not have any development agenda for the city. Addressing a rally at Sangam Vihar area of South Delhi, Dikshit accused BJP of trying to grab power by misleading people of the city on various issues. It is a divided house. “Our party and our government stands for the basic needs like ‘roti, kapda and makan’. Our government has performed exceptionally well during the last 15 years. We work with a sense of service,” she said. The Delhi unit of BJP has been grappling with the problem of factionalism. Dikshit also ridiculed BJP for changing three chief ministers during its five year rule in the city between 1993 to 1998. “They changed three Chief Ministers during their regime of five years as they were all-out to play with the sentiments of people. Today, they are making unbelievable promises. Their intention is to mislead people with an aim to harvest political gains,” she said. The BJP government between 1993 and 1998 saw three chief ministers –Madan Lal Khurana (1993-1996), Sahib Singh Verma (1996-1998) and Sushma Swaraj (1998). She asked the people to decide about supporting any party in the election on the basis of what is visible to them and not on the basis of “unbelievable promises”. “Our government has been taking care of all sections of the society and has been involved in uniform development of the city.
