Vijayawada: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Employees, teachers and other government servants announced its course of action against the decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. JAC convenor and president of Krishna District NGOs Association A Vidyasagar said that the organisation would lay siege to residences of Andhra Pradesh ministers on Thursday and the residences of MLAs on 3 August. He also said that the JAC would discuss plans for an indefinite strike, along with all its member organisations very soon. It alleged that the decision to create a separate Telangana state is against the interests of people from coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema areas. He urged people’s representatives of Andhra Pradesh to come forward and lead the movement against the Congress decision on separate statehood for Telangana. PTI
