The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday released its third list of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The list has 20 candidates. One of most prominent names on the list that of Savita Bhatti, the wife of late comedian and actor Jaspal Bhatti who will contest from Chandigarh. Chandigarh is currently the constituency of former railways minister Pawan Kumar Bansal who was forced to resign over allegations of corruption. Some of the other key candidates on the list are: Prabhat Ranjan Das, who is contesting from Darbhanga in Bihar. He has worked for a long time in New York and New Jersey, and donated his income to help set up more than 300 village libraries, training programs for students and teachers, settled in Darbhanga. A total of seven candidates from Madhya Pradesh and Odisha have been declared, one from Chandigarh, one from Bihar, two from Kerala and two from Delhi have been declared. Firstpost image[/caption] Anand Kumar, a professor from Jawaharlal University (JNU), will contest from North East Delhi. Sarah Joseph, a noted novelist and short story writer in Malayalam and winner of the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel Aalahayude Penmakkal (Daughters of God the Father) will contest from Thissur in Kerala. Ajit Joy, a former IPS Officer who took voluntary retirement from service in 2004 after serving the police department for 11 years, will contest from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. He worked with AAP during the Delhi assembly elections.
