We will implement police reforms. Investigation and law and order will be two different departments in the police force. We will also need to figure out ways for internal accountability for the police.” Kejriwal added that the party wanted to reduce the age for becoming an MLA. “If Bhagat Singh could have such revolutionary idea at a young age, why can’t others,” he said. The manifesto promised decentralisation of power. “Decentralisation of political power or Swaraj is also needed. While absolute decentralisation may not be possible, states should have more power,” said Kejriwal. Decriminalising gay sex, forming gram and mohalla sabhas, larger use of technology were some of the other things that AAP promised in their manifesto.
