AAP gets its first Bollywood celeb supporter: Vishal Dadlani

Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani has never been afraid of using the platform his fame provides him for making his stance on social and political issues clear. Dadlani has previously made his stances on everything from Yo Yo Honey Singh’s music to political corruption clear. Besides airing his opinions, Dadlani also implores his 409,115 followers to participate in the political process: “For too long, you and I’ve been quiet..RISE UP!” says his Twitter bio. In a show of support to the AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, Dadlani first retweeted news reports of AAP’s projected lead amongst Delhi youth, and then voiced his own opinion. AAP is projected to get around 19-25 seats, according to a CSDS-Lokniti poll for CNN IBN and The Week. The AAP has emerged as a formidable force with 25 per cent of the people backing Arvind Kejriwal for the post of Chief Minister. He is the most popular choice, with the sitting chief minister Sheila Dixit commanding just 16 per cent of the popular support, while only 2 per cent of the voters favour the BJP’s Dr Harsh Vardhan for the post.
