Modalities for executing the scheme are being worked out and budgetary provisions have been made, he said. The cabinet meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, also cleared a proposal for assimilation of 1.7 lakh ‘Shiksha Mitra’ (teachers hired on contractual basis) into service, as promised in the Samajwadi Party’s election manifesto.
