President of China Xi Jingping met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday to discuss on bilateral ties and major global issues

It was the two leaders’ third meeting this year. Both the countries will sign several contracts worth 10 billion dollars, as well as more than a dozen inter-governmental agreements on co-operation in various fields. Reuters

Before leaving, Xi had commented that China and Russia’s relations are at the “best time in history”, stating that the two nations are each other’s most trustworthy strategic partners. Reuters

Putin will also award Xi with the order of St.Andrew, one of Russia’s highest honors. Xi will then leave for Germany to attend G20 summit scheduled on 7-8 July. AP
