The Uttar Pradesh government signed 1,045 pacts worth Rs 4.28 lakh crore on the first day of the UP investors’ summit. President Ram Nath Kovind will be attending the closing ceremony on Thursday.

The summit is an attempt to establish UP among the developed states and its focus areas include food processing, dairy, handloom and textile, MSME, IT, start-ups, electronic manufacturing, films, tourism and civil aviation. PTI

Reliance Industries chief Mukesh Ambani on Wednesday promised investment of another Rs 10,000 crore through Jio in the next three years at the Summit. PTI

Finland, the Netherlands, Japan, Czech Republic, Thailand, Slovakia and Mauritius have been identified as country partners for the event. Several MoUs are also expected to be signed during the summit. PTI
