A five-storey under-construction building collapsed on Sarjapur road in Bengaluru's Kasavanahalli area, leaving three people dead, seven injured and many trapped in the debris on Thursday. PTI

Police said the under-construction building suddenly collapsed around 3.30 pm, trapping many. Fire brigade and police personnel, who were informed, launched rescue operations assisted by local people. PTI

The NDRF also joined the rescue efforts. The building construction began six years ago but was stopped later. Six months ago, work started again, said a senior police official.
